Do you require residents to have renter’s insurance?
We do not require renters to have renter’s insurance. You do have the ability to purchase it through Buildium, our online management platform. You can also obtain it through your homeowner’s policy.
Do you offer roommate matching services?
We do match people together as roommates, although there is no magic formula. We try to pair people together that have similar interests (based on application), but we have had many cases where roommates with different interests become the best of friends.
What is the pet policy?
We do not allow pets. We do allow service animals. We require a letter from a licensed therapist in Missouri indicating the need.
What are individual leases?
Each student has a lease, making the student responsible for their own space and their respective portion of the common area. Your lease is not impacted by the occupancy of the rest of the unit, meaning your rent does not go up if the unit is not full.
How do you submit a maintenance request?
Through your login to Resident Center, our online management platform, you can enter a maintenance request. If you have a maintenance emergency, please call us at (636) 442-0010.
When is rent due?
Rent is due on the 1st of every month. If you pay by the 4th of the month, you will not be charged a late fee. If you have an issue making your payment on the 1st, you have 3 additional days to make payment without a late fee. There are no exceptions after the 4th.
Am I required to keep the unit clean?
Yes, you are required to return the unit to us in the same clean condition that you received it. Otherwise, we will clean the unit at your expense.
What do I need to do if the toilet is clogged?
You need to plunge the toilet. There are plenty of YouTube videos that will show you how.
What do I do if my smoke detector is beeping?
Complete a maintenance request on Buildium. We will have one of our resident assistants get you a new battery promptly.
What if I lock myself out?
If it is during the daytime, please call us at (636) 442-0010 and we will get you in. If it is after hours, please call SCC Campus Police. They will be able to unlock your door.
What if the door lock has a long green light and a long beep?
That is an indicator that the batteries are low. Please enter a maintenance request immediately so we can install new batteries.
